For iPhone X and later, you’ll need to press and hold the side button along with either the volume up or volume down button until the power-off slider shows up on your screen. Once it appears, slide it to turn off your device. If you have an iPhone 8 or iPhone SE (2nd generation), the process is similar: press and quickly release the volume up button, then press and quickly release the volume down button, and finally press and hold the side button until you see the power-off slider.

If your iPhone is entirely unresponsive, you can perform a force restart by quickly pressing and releasing the volume up button, then quickly pressing and releasing the volume down button, and pressing and holding the side button until you see the Apple logo, regardless of the model you have. This method often helps in more severe cases where normal restarts do not work.
